Employment and Economic Empowerment Program
Empowering Refugees and Newcomers to Achieve Financial Independence
Securing employment is one of the most important steps toward stability and independence. However, refugees and newcomers often face significant barriers, including lack of Canadian work experience, limited professional networks, and systemic discrimination. Hope for Refugees International’s Employment and Economic Empowerment Program equips refugees and newcomers with the skills, knowledge, and connections needed to successfully enter the Canadian workforce.
We provide;
- Employment readiness workshops,
- Resume and cover letter support,Â
- Interview preparation,Â
- Job search training, andÂ
- Personalized career counseling.Â
Our program also connects participants with inclusive employers, employment agencies, and skills development opportunities that align with their qualifications and career goals.
In addition to employment readiness, we offer financial literacy education to help participants understand the Canadian financial system, including;
- Budgeting,
- Banking,Â
- Credit building,Â
- Savings, and financial planning.Â
Participants learn how to avoid financial scams, manage their finances responsibly, and build long-term economic stability.
Through this holistic approach, we empower refugees and newcomers to overcome employment barriers, secure meaningful work, and achieve financial independence and dignity.
