Volunteer Mission
As a volunteer at HRI, you will be an integral part of our mission to support, empower, and uplift refugees and vulnerable populations who face unimaginable challenges and adversity. Your dedication will contribute to creating a community that fosters hope, resilience, opportunities, and positive change.
Available Volunteer Positions
1. Community Outreach Coordinator
Role Description
- Develop and implement outreach strategies to connect with refugees, asylum seekers, and the broader community.
- Coordinate events, workshops, and programs to raise awareness about HRI’s mission.
2. Event Planning Assistant
Role Description
- Support the planning and execution of events, workshops, and conferences organized by HRI.
- Assist in logistics, coordination, and communication to ensure successful events.
3. Social Media Manager
Role Description
- Manage HRI’s social media platforms, create engaging content, and implement social media campaigns.
- Help build an online community and raise awareness about refugee issues.
4. Program Coordinator
The Program Coordinator oversees and coordinates various programs, projects, and campaigns aimed at supporting refugees and vulnerable populations. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a passion for making a positive impact on the lives of those in need.
Role Description
- Program Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans for HRI’s programs in alignment with the organization’s mission and goals. Identify opportunities for program expansion, improvement, and innovation.
- Team Leadership and Management: Recruit, train, and manage a team of volunteers responsible for implementing different programs. Provide guidance, support, and supervision to ensure effective program delivery.
- Collaboration and Networking: Build and maintain partnerships with other organizations, government agencies, and stakeholders to enhance program effectiveness. Attend relevant meetings, conferences, and events to represent HRI and explore collaboration opportunities.
- Monitoring and Evaluation: Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess the impact and outcomes of programs projects and campaigns. Collect and analyze data to measure program effectiveness and make data-driven decisions.
- Resource Mobilization: Work closely with the fundraising team to secure funding for programs through grant writing, donor engagement, and other fundraising activities. Ensure proper allocation and utilization of resources for program implementation.
5. Legal Aid Support Volunteer
Role Description
- Assist refugees in preparing for refugee hearings, and understanding legal procedures, paperwork, and rights. Collaborate with legal professionals to provide guidance on immigration issues and related legal matters.
6. Crisis Response Officer
Role Description
- Serve as a response officer for individuals in crisis. Offer emotional support, provide information about available resources, and coordinate with relevant agencies to ensure timely assistance.
7. Graphic Design Specialist
Role Description
- Create visually appealing graphics for promotional materials, reports, and social media.
- Contribute to the design and layout of marketing materials to enhance HRI’s visual presence.
8. Fundraising Coordinator
Role Description
- Plan and implement fundraising campaigns, events, and activities.
- Collaborate with the community to raise funds for HRI’s programs and initiatives.
9. Mentorship Program Coordinator
Role Description
- Develop and manage mentorship programs that pair experienced individuals with newcomers and refugees.
- Facilitate the exchange of knowledge, skills, and cultural insights.
10. Policy and Research Analyst
Role Description:
Conduct policy advocacy and research on refugee-related issues, policies, and best practices. Compile data and prepare reports to inform HRI’s advocacy efforts and program development.
11. Health and Well-being Advocate
Description
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to address the health and well-being of refugees. Provide information on healthcare resources and support individuals in accessing health information and medical services.
