Hope for Refugees International is pleased to announce the Global Summit on Ending Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) in Refugee and Humanitarian Crises and invites passionate and experienced individuals to contribute as session speakers, hosts, or moderators. This pivotal event will convene global and local experts, survivors, advocates, and policymakers to address one of the most urgent issues facing refugees and displaced persons.

Summit Overview

The summit aims to foster a collaborative approach to ending SGBV by integrating diverse strategies focused on survivor empowerment and community resilience. It will serve as a platform for sharing innovative solutions, best practices, and survivor-led initiatives.

 

Key Sessions and Workshops
  1. A Holistic Strategy to End Sexual and Gender-Based Violence: Focus on integrating prevention, protection, policy, community empowerment, and survivor leadership.

     

  2. Healing and Justice: Delivering Essential Comprehensive Support Services for SGBV Survivors: Emphasis on providing integrated health, legal, and psychosocial support.

     

  3. Unveiling the Root Causes of SGBV in Refugee Settings: Exploration of social norms, cultural beliefs, and economic factors contributing to SGBV.

     

  4. Empowering Voices, Transforming Communities: Survivor-Led Initiatives for Building Resilience: Focus on survivor-led initiatives and community-driven solutions.
Call for Speakers

We are seeking dynamic individuals committed to ending Sexual and Gender Based Violence to share their expertise, experience, and passion. You are invited to participate by leading discussions, speaking and moderating sessions, or presenting at workshops.

We encourage applicants from a wide range of sectors including academia, advocates, students, youth, practitioners, and social workers, human rights activists, legal representatives among others.

 

Important Participation Details

Please note that selected speakers will be responsible for covering their own participation costs, including travel, accommodation, and visa application-related expenses (if applicable). Additionally, all speakers must officially register for the conference and pay the registration fees.
